I had a post on a gun safe question here. When I went to read the posts, I saw the topic locked icon. What's up?

    After a post gets 10 replies it usually gets locked out. Keeps things from draging on too long.

    I think that the moderator also exercises his judgment regarding the value of the discussion as it progresses. As soon as he feels that the participants are no longer communicating useful information, he locks things up. Kirk can correct me if I'm mistaken. If I'm right, I think he does a good job at it.
