HERE'S A QUESTION FOR ALL OF YOU. I WONDERED WITH ALL THE .22CALIBER TARGET SHOOTERS OUT THERE INCLUDING ME.
"WHY ARE'NT THERE ANY .22CALIBER WADECUTTER AMMO MADE ?
IT SURE WOULD MAKE A NICE ROUNG PUNCH HOLE IN THE TARGET PAPER, NOW WOULDN'T IT ?
ANY SUGGESTIONS TO WHY ?
THANKS GUYS/GALS

Two words.......feed problems
four words: not in a wheelgun
Back to SCHOONER's idea..... There is a tool made to cut the round nose off of lead .22LR bullets for use in hunting. I don't have all the details and can't recall who makes it, but it seems like it's called a SGB tool (?) SGB stands for Small Game Bullet, but I've often wondered how well it would work for the target shooter to get the wadcutter effect on paper targets. The only possible side-effect would be the weight reduction which in turn would raise velocity, which might have an effect on accuracy, which would make the nice neat holes somewhat useless...... Ya think?
Ya can probably find out all the facts about the tool on the http://www.rimfirecentral.com forum. Those guys know their rimfires and all the tricks.
