I just bought a used Desert Eagle 9mm from a friend.
The original box has "Baby Eagle- Desert Eagle" on it.
The pistol has "Desert Eagle" on it , no "baby".
It says made in Israel. Slide mounted safety, all metal.
When I look in the auctions there is reference to both Baby
Eagle and Desert Eagle. Whats the difference and what do I have?

You probably have a Jericho Baby Eagle if its made in Israel and 9mm.The difference between the 2 is alot of size and weight and the Desert Eagle is s/a and the Baby is d/a.The largest caliber offered in the Baby is .45acp the biggest in the Desert Eagle is .50action express. The Desert Eagle is alot bigger, alot heavier and alot more powerful. The Baby Eagle is alot more carry friendly but no where near the gun.

Don't forget 41 mag., it is a good intermediate cartridge!
yeah, Desert Eagles are big, bad handguns. One of the only
semi-autos you can buy with the power of a wheel gun.
The babies use the same calibres as all the popular semi-autos.
