Hey guys, I can't find my BATF bluebook. Is the romanian SKS a C&R rifle?[:I]

    Hello all.

DO all Romanian SKS's have screw in barrels? Would Chinese screw-in barrels fit Romanian SKS?

    Thanks,

    Eugene.

I'm sure this comes up a lot on here. I am reading a book which is supposed to be the 'definitive' guide to the sks, by Steve Kehaya, which says that the Romanian SKS was imported into the US, beginning in 1999, specifically as a C&R piece. Things do change, but I can find no reference to the Romanian SKS on the BATF site, listing it one way or the other. Can anyone tell me how else I can research this?

All advertisements for the Romanians stated screwed in barrels.
I may be wrong but I thought the Chinese were pinned.

The Chinese screwed in barrels should work, although I have never personally tried to fit one in. Only the late production Chinese had pinned in barrels. The earlier ones had screw in barrels just like the Russian and Romanian guns.
