COLT POCKET NINE

A fellow just offered one to me for sale. I'm not much of a compact semi auto guy, but after a quick browse on here I see that they've been going for well over 500.00.

He wants 400 for it (used, great shape but no box), and I'm wondering if the prices that I see on the auction side are a recent development, or if I can expect this to hold some value for the future.

Any body have one, they seem to be in short supply. Are they worth the money if I can find one?

I've heard these were neat little guns for concealed carry, but as there are so many small guns out there, I can't imagine being beholden to the Colt. If you are looking for a small CC gun, you need to determine both caliber and sufficient physical size. I see lots of small guns that end up our dealer's used counter inevitably because the guns are too hard to manage or lacking in stopping power. They are often noted for unpleasant shooting. Limited sight picture, tiny grips, reduced velocity, and magazines that aren't compatible with your full-sized gun are some of the drawbacks you need to take into account. Also, many small guns suffer from less than stellar trigger actions, so you need to factor a trigger job into the equation.
