Have Ithica 20gauge SbS, made 1925 serial 214500 bird dog engraving on receiver. Small dent in left barrel, exterior only. Anyone know what grade this is or the value?

ok just looked at my Ithacas They all show engraveings og Dog, flushing out pheasants & other side are ducks Flying from a pond, Both my 12 & 16gauge But a new ithaca 20 gauge is going for $450 Here in Ny But thats with a rifled barrel, As for the age of your gone & labeled Sbs I can only guess in excellant condition worth 350 to 550 But with dent in barrel.. no idea What its worth..... Good luck In finding out Or contact a Ithaca dealer & ask them , Go to Ithacaguns.com.... & check on Icon saying dealers, That way you can find a dealer Near your area to get priceing...

From your description,i would say you probably have a flues model field grade.value always depends on condition.A flues 20 ga.in excellant cond.will bring in excess of 1000 dollars today.value drops considerably in lesser condition. The serial number you have given dates your gun to 1910,not 1925.A ithaca sxs shotgun manufactured in 1925 would be in the 400,000 serial no. range.
