One of my customers just bought a single barrel shotgun.
The only markings on the gun is on the top of the barrel.

"The Imperial" Can anyone help with the manufacture
of this gun?

    OH-BOY here we go again;
    to get the right answer, sometimes it's not enough to ask the right question. in this case you have to ask the question right.
    what guage?
    top break or side?
    any other markings? proof marks? ingraving?
    is wood utility grade? figured? unusual stock features?
    exposed hammer? hammerless?
    damascus barrel?
    we can not see what you precieve as usual so please fully describe the whole gun.
    "The Imperial" is very likely a model or grade designation. this could be a "refinish" where everything but model & serial # have been polished off.
