I am thinking of buying a used #1 and getting it rechambered to 300 H&H, if so what would be a usable caliber(s) to do this with where the bolt face would have to be let out the least ?
    or
would it be easier to just get a new barrel ?

Did Ruger ever make a 257 Roberts in the 1A or RSI configurations?

My sources indicate the only model ruger made in a single shot in 257 roberts was the 1-B standard, which is similar to the 1-A.
Hope this will help you out!

Are you gonna draw them hoglegs or whistle dixie
