I have an older Colt Officer.45, all steel. Looks used, I carried it for years. What would be good for a new finish on it? (dont want blue) [:)]

There are some great Tuff Coats out there right now, you can do a two-tone that way or just coat the frame and find yourself a stainless slide.
Here is one that I put together, I know it's a little pimped out for some folks but I was given the real ivory grips so every now and then I dress her up.

I have had good luck with bearcoat and I have seen hand guns refinished from metalife ( www. MAHOVSKYSMETALFE.COM ). And you can't go wrong with hard chrome.

I'm a fan of satin[bead blasted] hard chrome.I think it looks good and is one of the toughest out there.
