simson shotgun model number ??

can you tell me how to identify the model of my simson shotgun ??
I have the original box but c,ant make out the number.
its old been in the family since new about 40 yrs.its a 12g s/s twin trigger full choke double barrel.has check piece and nice engraving.bores are mint.thinking of selling but need to clearly identify first.

    Simson Shotguns were made in Germany both before and after W W II. They were made by two different entities, during that time frame, that spanned 60 years.

    Your going to have to give us a detailed description of all the markings/ proof marks on your shotgun. Perferably also with good quality pictures, for us to help you identify which model you have.

    If your shotgun is the East German version produced after the war, you might consider obtaining a paperback catalog called "Buxton's Guide to Foreign Firearms" it has pictures of some of them. Since they were manufactured in East Germany under the Communist regime, they weren't commonly sold here in the US.
