Mine is not a youth but it shoots great about 1in groups with cheap wolf ammo.I plan on getting some better ammo and see what see will do. Well worth the money.

I have the Survival model in .223 and it shoots great. I haven't even tried to seriously sight it in and I am getting 1.5 inch groups at 100 yds. with cheap ammo.

I hope you get one. Enjoy! [:D]

Bought my son that exact rifle last summer. Accuracy about one inch at 100 yds, took several woodchucks with it, one at ovet 250 yds. Shoots well emough for my 11 yr old. It loved winchester 37 grainers at 3700 fps

Can't answer to the 223 part of the question, but have a handi that was originally 243, now has a 308 barrel to go along with it. All NEF rifles I have shot have been butt-ugly, but great shooters! And you can't beat the price!

thanks for the reply guys, i think will start looking for a .223 remington. 1" or so at 100 yard sound real good for their price!

I scoped and sighted in 3 of those last winter. The only thing I noticed was a slight difference in point of impact and accuracy between a clean barrel and fouled barrel. Considering that ,I would leave the barrel fouled throughout hunting season or fire a couple of shots before each outing.
