I purchased a Sig p239 in 99% condition with sig lites yesterday at a local gun show for 450.00. Is this a reasonable price? I picked the gun up and fell in love with it immediately. Any comments, good or bad, would be appreciated.

anyone have any experience with the sig p239? I've shot a p220 a lot and liked it, particularly reliability. I'm thinking of switching carry guns and the P239 looks good, but I understand that it has an alloy frame and wonder how it will handle the .40 cartridge. thanks

Are the magazines interchangeable between calibers?? (.357 Sig, 9 MM,
40 S&W). I put 9 MM in a .40 magazine and they stayed put. The .357 is necked down 9 so most of the case is the same size 9 MM.

I stand corrected on the .357 Sig. I knew it and spaced it.

Thanks one and all. Will not try to use anything but what is intended for each caliber.

The P239 will hold up fine.

The P220 also has an alloy frame.

I have had a 9mm P239 on my CCW since the first came out .I fire nothing but +P+ rounds through it since those are what I carry. After well over 5000 rounds I can see only cosmetic wear.It doesn't get any better than a P series Sig...I have several.

    Love them Pre-64's!!!!-Bob

They are excellent handguns. I have a 40 S&W at present and have had a 9mm that a friend just had to have.Gun test magazine rated them the best. You will really enjoy it and they are trouble free as are the other Sig arms.
