I am kinda looking for a link, or a vendor that makes full sized stocks for an sks. I have looked at Boyds and Gun-Stocks.com and a few other ones, but they all say they dont make sks stocks.
I am gonna keep my original 'cause everything matches...but since I'm not a small chinese soldier,(rather a fat bald white guy from Chicago), I would like something a little longer. I also don't want synthetic. So if somebody can point me in a direction, I'd appreciate it.
thanks
the Big Man

Look at Choate. They make a very good stock for SKS rifles. [8D]

Have you looked at adding a stock extender or a recoil pad to the stock you already have?

go to cabelas.com they have a sporter, a folder style, and dragunov stocks for the sks. with mgf. such as ram-line and buttler-creek. or like mentioned up above, check shotgun news, you might want to check these two mgf. i've mentioned and also midway to compare prices, but i do know for fact cabelas has them (bought two there before)

it's not the type of gun you have in the heat of a battle that counts, only if you have enough ammo for it, lets face it, a gun without ammo is only as good as a base ball bat!!

I get the impression you want to stick with a wood stock so take the advice of buying a slip-on butt pad extender. This is an odd suggestion but I bought a few French (hurts my fingers to even type that word) guns from SOG and both, in their accessories kit had a slip on rubber butt pad that works really really well on my SKS as the rear stock dimensions seem to be the same. Try any local shop that carries (carried) these guns ( MAS 36/51 and 49/56 ), the guns shows or perhaps check with SOG to see if they have any of those items left in stock.
