ok here is a 22 mag bolt action 20 inch barrel
and here we have a 22 mag auto 20 inch barrel
now shooting the same ammo , how far would the bolt action shoot
then the other need help

Not enough differance to be worth the trouble. Yes it does use some of the energy to work the auto but if it had a tight barrel and the bolt action was on the large side in bore dia . Stock butt plate etc doesn't affect any thing.

I may be nit picking but all of these factors will have some effect. For example, is the gun a straight blowback operation or recoil? Remember a butt plate will effect a recoil action by absorbing energy. If the shooter is holding his gun in a limp-wrist fashion there will not be enough energy to cycle the gun. Look at the M1941 Johnson Rifle, It is a recoil action and it got quite a few Marines kill because they tried to shoot it off handed and the limp-wrist hold absorbed to much of the recoil energy to cycle the gun, thus affecting the action and velocity.
