I have a 38spl. Hercules Gas Munitions Corp. tear gas gun. Does anyone have any information on these? Are they legal? It is one my dad had for years, and I got it after he passed. I called ATF and never got a answer. I tried the 'net and could not find anything on the company.

We have had similar questions in the past.

If it's possible to chamber a conventional .38 special/.38 S & W cartridge? Even if it's a wadcutter type. It could cause you legal problems.

Some of these tear gas pen guns were made as late as the 60's, with a internal flange to prevent conventional ball ammo being chambered. The feds still made them stop production.
