I have a Remington stun-safe 22cal. slaughterhouse gun and cannot find any info on it. I tried the remington web sight about a yeat ago and never got a response. It has two triggers, but cannot be fire until you depress the barrel against the animals head and squeeze both triggers. It is a tube fed 22lr rifle like a model 512, it is black cast aluminum maybe, looks like a sub machine gun. I will try to get a pic posted later, but any info would be great[;)].....Tom

Disclaimer- not familiar with that particular model. MOST of these were "captive bolt stunners" That is, the projectile was a bolt that was free to move only a short distance- like the piston in a Remington Nail Gun. When fired, the captive bolt was driven by a BLANK cartridge, and had the same effect as hitting the animal with a sledgehammer. IF yours is this type, for pity's sake DO NOT LOAD A BALL ROUND in it !!!!

No, this is an actual 22lr, the tube will hold 10-12 rounds and if you push the barrel down and squeeze the trigger it will fire. It has a rifled barrel inside the outer sleeve that is depressed to operate. I know what you are talking about, I have a remington power fastener that shoots nails using a 22cal charge.

Neat looking Item a must have for remington collector. Bolt handle is same as Remington 510/511/512 this date it from 1939-about 1964

Interesting. It looks like it has two trigger operation so you need to keep two hands on the gun to operate it.

I bet I can put a smile on your face! I have one too and could not find any info on it until I went to the 2005 Shot Show and talked to an old timer from Remington. He told me that it was made from 1958 to 1962, that there were only 50 made, and that mine was the only one he has seen since production! When I asked him how much it was worth, He said "Put a price on it"!
There is an attachment that can be put on it that allows you to use .22 rounds in it, but I don't have it, so can only use blanks.
I have made a ton of money on mine for a Jr. Shooting Program! It cost a buck a guess, win or lose, and I had piles of people around me at the Gunshows!
