smith and wesson .44 problems...HELP

a friend passed away and left me a smith and wesson model 629 .44 magnum...only problem is the breach will not open??? i remember this happening before and it seemed to be and easy fix?? some simple adjustment to the "pin"(not the right term im sure) attached to the breach?? any help much appreciated...

    The ejector probably came unscrewed. Take a small pointed punch and stick it between the rod and plunger and push the latch. The plunger is spring loaded. After you get it open use padded pliers and tighten it up. Remember it has left hand threads.

    After you free it up you may want to dissassemble the yoke area and put a drop of semi-permanent loc-tite on the threads.

    This will help keep it from unscrewing again.
