Anyone know if I can ship a long gun through UPS to an FFL without using an FFL on the sending end? ...USPS?

You do not need an FFL to ship a long gun through UPS. I've done it quite a few times. Just be certain that your receiving FFL will accept delivery of a firearm sent from a non - FFL. Some will not. That's not the law, just their own business practice.

    yes...yes

You can only use UPS if you ship from a company customer counter (not a packing store or Kinkos). Federal law requires you to declare the contents of your package is a firearm. You may not include ammo. UPS will only insure your firearm for $500; they will accept more money for higher insurance, but won't pay > $500.

My FFL holder likes non FFL holders to send him a copy of their drivers license.
