I am trying to find out what this gun might be worth. It's a Heym Sporter in 7mm Mauser. Very fine grade wood, with very fine checkering. The gun has original fron sight...never a rear sight and has a period Lyman peep probably original. The bolt is butter knife design and both it and the butt plate has fine engraving. Barrel is close to 22 1/2 inches. Butt stock has a gold plate for initials. The gun looks very original is quite light also has sling swivels on butt and on barrel just in front of forearm The Heym name is polished on the top of barrel made in Suhl Germany. This is a very fine sporter in excellent condition. Only negative is a small chip of wood that apparently broke-off near rear of bolt. The wood-piece (original) was glued back...it's about 1/4" in size. I have never seen one like this and wondered if anyone can tell me what the range of value might be. Thank you! I have fired this gun...it is 7/57 mauser even though there are no markings indicating its caliber. There are no military markings and the barrel is not stepped-down...it is smooth and tapered. Serial is: 58XX AH.

My Blue Book is a little out of date, but it lists the SR 10 Sporter in 100% at about $1,400.00 - maybe the few years have added about $300.00? BTW, the SR 20 Classic Sporter is listed as having a 24" bbl in standard calibers, so my guess would be you have an SR 10 Sporter if the original bbl is 22".
