Mauser '93 bolt in a '95? Or '95 in a '93?

Hello all, lost the bolt to an old Spanish Mauser, 7MM Mauser. Can't tell if it's a '93 or '95. Can I interchange the bolts? Thanks
Bob
P.S. Huh? Headspace? Does it matter?

A '95 Mauser bolt will fit in either the '93 or '95 receiver. However, the reverse ('93 in '95 receiver) won't work. The earlier '93 Mauser bolts had a small, squared-off projection on the lower edge of the bolt face, which the '95 receiver wasn't milled out for. Later '93 bolts were supposed to have omitted this feature, but the '93 bolt bodies I've bought or seen for sale are all of this type.

Any time bolts are switched in these guns, headspace should be checked. This is particularly true when, as is the case with the Spanish small rings, production was over a period of several decades. Bear in mind that most of these earlier actions aren't particularly well-set-up for venting off gas, in the event of excessive headspace and the cartridge either splitting or losing its rim. A certain amount is likely coming back in your face, and that doesn't rank high on my list of fun things to have happen.
