Old 12Ga Single shot

I have this single shot 12Ga shotgun with a external hammer and know nothing about it. It is says Tagbot Foard, Anniston,Al on one side. That is the only markings on the gun. There is no serial number anywhere on it. The bluing on it is brown and the tip of the barrle is choked down (on the outside). I know nothing about this weapon, so any help would be great. An old gun guy downtown told me it's over 70 years old and was made by a indavidual and not a company.
