taurus 63

I just bought a LNIB stainless Taurus 63 - for $199.00 how can you go wrong? Does anyone have one, how well do they work, etc. I realize this is just a plinking rifle, there seems to me no way to mount a scope. I've bought the tang mounted peep sight & already have a Lyman 17 globe front sight & that should work well for 50 yds or so.

thinking of buying one of these for my 14 year old daughter for christmas. any info would be appreciated. noticed not set up for a scope, can this be done?

I have a stainless one, yet to shoot the thing though. Got it new for $199.00 - hard to believe a nice little 22 made from real steel & wood can be had for that price.

I put a tang peep sight on it - cost $35.00 from Taurus. I'm pretty sure Taurus's cantilever scope mount for their 62 also fits the 63. It's a Weaver base that uses the rear sight to attach to the barrel.

These are great little rifles. I have a blue one. I have been impressed by the accuracy. They are a bit heavy. One hint is to be sure it is cocked before taking the two halves apart. It is one of the few all steel and wood 22s.
