I have a model 110 savage with a broken clip used to exract the shell. The clip is broken and will not extract the shells. How much should I expect to pay to have something like repaired? thanks.

Just as a foot note I do have the actual clip but it is loose from the bolt but I can slide it into place, and there appears to be maybe a spring or something under where the clip belongs.

Is this the old C type extractor or the new in bolt head extractor? If it is the new type, it should have a spring in the hole with a steel ball on top of it.

Check Numrich or some Savage parts vendor to find the parts prices. Don't forget to include shipping charges which often are MORE than the cost of the part.
My gunsmith's minimum charge is $25. for VERY simple jobs (that require tools I don't have). Depending on the amount of work involved, his average charge is $50.to $75. IMO he's CHEAP compared to most gunsmith's I've gotten quotes from.
