Wondering if anyone has anything good or bad to say about the Kel-Tec P-11 9mm? I picked one up a while back and already had the axis pin break. I havent put a lot of rounds through it so I'm disappointed with it's breaking.

If you do a search, you'll find people either love them or hate them. I love mine, but I love it for what it is rather than what I wish it was.

    Pro's:
High capacity, small package, easily concealed, light weight, respectable caliber, lifetime warranty.

    Con's:
This little thing bucks! About 25 rounds is all I want at a time. Without a firm grip, you will rub a blister in the web of your hand in a hurry. Somewhat long, heavy trigger pull, but hey, that's the safety too. I'm sure its more accurate than I am, but my comfort zone with this pistol is only about 10 yds.

I conceal carry mine a lot when I don't want to lug the combat commander.

If you can get used to the trigger and recoil it's fine.
It's quite a cannon with +P+ 124 gr or with the 357 SIG conversion.

Over 1000 rounds through it with no problems. Can't buy a better gun for the money. Your pin breakage is an anomaly.

I used to own one and sold it to my friend and he had the same pin break. It pops out while shooting. However, I dont think the gun is all bad for the price. Just send it into the company and they will fix it for free.

I can't stand the trigger pull, other than that it's ok for the money.

I love mine. For the money and its intended use, you can't beat it. I have well over a 1000 rounds through mine without a problem. Accuracy is decent with 124grn rounds and heavier out to 25 yards. Stay away from the 115grn rounds and Blazer(aluminum cased) ammo. If you can deal with a somewhat heavy trigger pull, you'll love it. My P-11 is my primary carry pistol along with my P64.

I think it feels like a brick.

I think the PF9 is much more refined.

    Smyrna,
You should get some of the S&W 12 round mags. Makes the gun much more enjoyable to shoot. Keltec sells a sleeve to make it match the bottom of the grip but you really don't need it.

If you are in Smyrna GA I have a couple of the S&W mags for sale. $20 each.

    PM me if interested.

I have a PF-9 and agree. It is an improvement over the P-11.
