-These guys are good, but not that good. Which gun would that be? Some Franklin Mint-type commemorative gun? Do you have a descriptive narrative, some photos or a URL where we could see the gun?

    Is it nickel or chrome?

I think I remember seeing them advertised soon after the 1994 "Assault" Weapons ban legislation. They have the single-stack magazines, are Romanian in origin (I think they were the WSARs), and were insanely over-priced when sold (as are most things made as "collector" specials).

I'm not sure what sort of information you're looking for, but will let you know that most serious gun collectors would have absolutely no interest in it. It was a "poor example" of a semi-auto AK (the "good" semi-auto AKs are close in appearance to their real full-auto cousins). It was a $250 gun that was "dressed up" with plating and laser etching and sold as a "collectable" -- I think the advertisements I saw were trying to sell them for over $1200.

I don't know what you paid for it, but would doubt you'd get much more than $300-400 if you tried to sell it to those who know firearms.

Just as the original seller (when they were first made) were expecting "emotional" buyers, who knew little about guns, to buy them thinking they were buying an expensive "collectable," your best way to sell it now (if that is what you wanted) would be to find a similar buyer.

Here is an example in the auction of a WSAR-10 with its magazine well opened so it will accept standard double-stack AK magazines (no affiliation with the seller):
