Colt .380 Plus two fit my 5 round mag Mustang?

Anybody know if the Colt .380 plus two mag will lock in place and function in my just plain Colt Mustang that has the 5 shot mag? I am aware that if so, it would protrude well past the bottom of the mag well, but as long as it fits and functions, that would be ok.

Yes. Just don't SLAM it in place; push it in until it locks.

The Mustang has a 6-shot mag.

That answers my question and now I can bid on a mag. But I am almost positive that my Colt Mustang .380 I purchased in 1986 has only 5 round mags. I remember this, even though I haven't shot it for many years because I always thought of it as a 6 round firearm (5 in mag, one in chamber) just like a six shot revovler. I'll check and get back to you.

I have a Pony, which takes Mustang mags, and 4 mags for it. All hold 6 rounds each.

David. Just tried loading my orginal Mustang all steel .380 mag and it will not take more than 5 rounds. This is what I was pretty sure I knew all these years. Bottom of the mag says "Colt .380 auto" with a small "M" in corner of the floor plate of the mag and of course the Colt rampart in the other end of the mag floor plate.
