Kel Tex P11 v. Kahr P40

I have been considering one of these for concealed carry. The Kel Tec is smaller but 9mm and the Kahr is larger but .40. Does anyone have any ideas, suggestions, or recommendations about which is best for their respective prices?
Thanks,
David

I carry a 40 S&W Kel-tec P-40. It is the best of both for size, weight, and cost.

I have used the Kahr and know it to be very dependable. I do not know much about the Kel Tec. The Kahr line comes in 4 models. Std, Covert, Polymer and economy.

My carry is a Kel-Tec P11. Mine is totally reliable and with RBCD ammo it is a deadly self defense gun. I hope I never have to use it, but if I do the perp is going bye, bye.

The Feb 2002 issue of Combat Handguns magazine has a great article on the Kahr P40. They go as far as to call it the ultimate carry weapon. If you can still find it, it makes for some good reading. Maybe you can get a reprint on their web site www.combathandguns.com.

I would (and plan to) spend the extra money on the Karh. If I skip a couple of more meals each month, I just might make it by Christmas!

But the best advice is always......shoot one (of anything) before you buy one.

    Good luck.
