rballi, do not know why I did not think of this last nite. You can send your gun to a shop in Missouri and they will completly refinish it for a quite reasonable price. I believe the name is Midwest Guns, and according to what I was told, they used to do the work for Browning when they had their repair facility at Arnold, MO. I sent several guns including a Grade II .22 auto and a Pigeon Grade Superposed to Browning during that time and was very satisfied with the work. You could not tell them from a new factory gun. Anyway, it is something for you to think about.

    ok now we are talking my language here.i live in mo and happen too frequent midwest guns .i also know of the man who does the blueing for browning in arnold .let me know if i can help
