You may obtain an (03) license which is C&R if you meet the requirements. Go to: www.caag.state.ca.us. I have been licensed for over 25 years as an (01). Your cost is minimal compared to mine. Suggest you do it asap as there are many laws that are changing in California, aka Cal Russia by the idiots. Just do it.

California Penal Code, Article 3, par.12230, 31 and 32 says DOJ will issue permits for possession, manufacture, etc. of Class 3 weapons.
Article 4 par.(or sec.) 12250 says DOJ may grant licenses for not more than 1 year to permit the sale of machine guns.
Seems like it's easier to own and sell class 3 weapon than "assault weapons".
When you die your assault weapon gets melted down, can't even pass it on to your kids.
Somewhere else it says that class 3 weapons can't be imported into the state, you can only buy and sell those that are already here.
