Thinking about putting one on my 10/22.

I only use it for plinking anyway, so distance and great precision isn't that important, but for $30 bucks, I'm interested. Just curious about the clarity and reliability of em.

I did the same thing and put one on a Buckmark! Love it!! It also made my daughter more interested in shooting. She now wants to go shoot a bunch. I think for the price and the short ranges you are probably going to be shooting you will be pleased. I had a friend who shot my xp's with the holosights and so he thought he'd save money and put a Red Dot on his contender barrel in 7-30 Waters. After he tried it he figured out why I spent what I did on the holosights. The big difference is the 1 MOA dot compared to the 4 or 6 or 7 Moa dots in the Red Dots. But for a 22 I think they work fine! GHD

I have 3 of them and have had them on several guns including the 10-22, HK USC, SW5 (HK-94 clone) & Steyr SPP but the guns I've been most impressed with is an AR-15 and bushmaster M17S out to distances of 300 yards, it still shot within the "dot" without making any changes to elevation or windage! Although there is no magnification they are great for accurate target aqusition out to 300 which is the furthest I've had the oppertunity to shoot with them.
