1895 Winchester Carbine

My Dad left me a 303 cal. 1895 Winchester Carbine. It's in excellent condition and I have used it to hunt in the past. I'm not up on gun values and I was wondering if anybody could give me a ballpark figure on it's value. I may be interested in selling it.
Many thanks, TTmama

Congratulations! You have a very desirable and potentially valuable rifle. The preferred way to grade weapons is by the percentage of original finish remaining. Excellent condition is a less precise description than, for example, 95% condition; in which case your carbine would be worth approx. $2,500. I suggest you find a reputable dealer or collector in your area and have them appraise it for you so that you will know exactly what to ask in the event you decide to sell.

Value depends on condition and that all parts are original. Value can be in 2500 dollar range if perfect, but I have seen most of these SELL for 750 to 1250.
