ruger 77 trigger help

I have a m77 which shoots great except for the high trigger pull.
where do I get a trigger assembly , who makes them? does the set screw on the trigger I have now adjust anything? Do I need a competant gunsmith to install the new trigger assembly?

    BROWNELLS catalog 54 page 4 has triggers and sears for the RUGER 77

    LS@B, do you have one of the older 77's with a tang safety or the newer MarkII. If the newer Mark II, replace with the Timney trigger from Brownells. When installed, you will have to file down the safety block on the trigger so the safety will rotate over it. The instructions tell you how, but proceed with caution. If you take off too much, the gun can still fire in the afe position. On the tang safety model, clip the trigger return spring about 1 and 1/2 coils or replace with a lighter one. That should give you about a 3lb. pull.

    Timiney makes a drop in ,fully adjustable trigger for that old model ruger.... It's a "no gunsmithing " installation...contact me snake803@juno.com
