I have a winchester 670. I know they aren't the greatest, but I was wondering if anyone knows or has seen a custom gun built off of the 670 action? Is it possible to re-barrel them with any degree of ease? The action design looks to be strong, so I was wondering if it is worth persuing.

When in doubt...empty the magazine!!

It would work as well as any of the current push-feeds Winchester sells today if not better. Econo version of Model 70

rwfixem, thanks for the reply, she seems to be an overlooked rifle. I would not have purchased it per say, but I did inherit it. I was just interested in weather it would be a good rifle with a new stainless hart or shillen barrel. The trigger pull is very nice for a cheap factory gun.
