I also posted this on general discussion, I just happy i finally got it and wanted to thank everyone for their good advice!!

I got a used (less than 500 rounds) Sig 229, two tone, with bianchi holster in new condition, bright Trijicons, regular and hogue grips, and 3 mags, one of which is a hi cap.

Total cost incl S&H and FFL: $650

I ended up selling about 40 shares of Amazon stock to buy her, but she's worth it. She's a beauty! Doesn't look like she's been fired at all. Thanks for all the advice and support in my quest to get one! I'll put up a new post when I take her to the range.

Also, I usually stick with the paddle holsters, and thinking of parting with this one. It's a Bianchi black leather holster in about 95% condition. Says "#19 Sig Sauer P226" on the back. Any idea on how much to sell for?

Congrats!!! I'm deffinetly jealous. I'd much rather it be in my hands than yours. But I bet you'll love it enough for me too. LOL!!!

Tell us about the first trip to the range.

Good for you!!!! IMHO, Sigs are the best. My very first gun was a P220, and that's still my favorite. I thought about a 229, so please get back to us after the range. GD

Oh by the way, that's a pretty good price for what you got, especially that you had to bring it in. Good job! GD

Man, you made out like a bandit!! They had a used 229 a couple of weeks ago at my local gun shop. $575, and in a bit more 'used' condition than I would've liked. No hi-caps, though. Needless to say, that bad boy was gone when I visited yesterday.
Congrats with a tinge of jealousy.

    niklasal,

The next time I'm in Tucson let's go shoot that new Sig 229.

Have never fired one but after reading various posts and reviews maybe I need to get me one.

I'm convinced, I'm convinced...My choice was between a Para Companion and a Sig 229. The Sig I ordered two weeks ago and I am still waiting... I'll call my broker tonight and tell him I want the Sig. The price for this new stainless Sig 229, .40 caliber, is $690 including taxes, shipping, and the credit card charges. Not bad considering local shops want $830 not including the higher Jackson County (Missouri) taxes. I hope I have my soon.
