    When I attempted to pull up both had been deleted, looks like GunBroker admin corrected.

    This is not the first time I noticed this. This past winter, I notified G.B. and the other auction site of this problem. G.B. corrected it quickly, while the other site needed to be notified numerous times.

    Just be careful when bidding. Now, when I am going to bid on something I usually check the other sites, just to make sure.

    Folks, this may not be what you are thinking. Sometimes a 'newbie' does post the same auction in two places, other times it is someone who is trying to 'cheat' by looking for the best bid and screwing the other bidders at other sites. I have found that most often, it is a seller who is offering similar items on multiple sites, but simply used one picture, or mistakenly used the same pix.

    I didn't bother to look at the closed auctions, but just wanted to let everyone know that often it is an honest mistake and please don't BBQ the seller until you know what happened.

    I would think that it would be risky to the seller, who would then be liable to two buyers in the event that the two buyers placed bids on opposite sites. I understand that offers and acceptances create a binding contract in these forums, which would leave the seller selling one gun to one bidder, and having to provide a contract remedy to the second buyer. It could be expensive to the seller.
