1849 colt

Lets see who's who on this board........just saw a Colt 1849 pocket revolver presention grade on the Antique show.....walnut grips, heavy engraved ,in a wooden presention box........I think s# 529?? mint condition..........Does anyone care to say how much its worth.......

    COONASS; I don't believe anyone is gonna raise to the bait..! No One in His/Her right mind is gonna try and place a Value on something like this without seeing it up front and Personal..You say an 1849 Colt..But what 1849 Colt is it? Wells Fargo Model..{It has NO Rammer}
    Engraved...{By Who or Whom}? Barrel Length..? A bunch of unanswered Questions....! I'd like to see it myself...Always loved the Old Colts...Best

    Your right Capt. it was a "loaded" question.........but it was valued
    at $10.000.00 to $12,000.00..........wow....................

    I saw that last night. Beautiful revolver. It appeared that it had seen very little use and had good care. Supposedly it had been presented to the guy's great grandfather by Samuel Colt. It had the loading lever and the extra parts in the box. They said that it wouldn't letter because the factory records were lost in a fire. Also said that was a conservative value and I don't doubt it. Even the barrel address was engraved not stamped.
