My department has a MP5 (Coll. stock / 4 mags / 1 scope with claw mount) that we are interested in trading for M1 carbines. What do you think would be a fair trade?..(It is a Police only weapon). Thanks[8D]

Give us a break. Snipers don't use MP5s.

An MP5 on the black market?

It's hard enough for citizens to get a hold of, let alone crooks.

It's only for LE or military use. If you can get a Class III license, you can probably get one.

    I'd like one too. Sigh.....

    "Special Weapons" makes a semi-automatic version w/ 16" barrel.
It runs about 1,500. www.GunsNStuff.net has the receivers and parts kits if you know a competent gun smith.

Ps. A legal Fully automatic MP5 will run you several thousand dollars and a lot of hassles getting approval. A black market weapon would probably run you double or triple, not to mention the fact they aren't all that common, its extremely illegal, and will get you some serious jail time.

Pss. If you want get some really cool, black market stuff for real cheap, write to this guy, tell him exactly what you're looking for and how much you'll pay. Make sure you tell him you want an illegal one since it hasn't been registered. He'll hook you up!!! fea@atfhq.atf.treas.gov

    Good luck,

Maybe this guy is just looking for a "paint-ball" version?

Note that he only said "non-Airsoft"....
