Anyone know who these might have been made by? Both are dark blue, flat metal followers. One is marked "C-R" on the bottom of the floor plate and on the top of the plate it has an "R" on the part that extends from the magazine. The second magazine doesn't have anything marked on the bottom of the floor plate, but it has an "L" on the part that extends from the magazine.

Left and Right magazines??? Not really but it works. Thanks....

THIS IS A MAGAZINE THAT IS GETTING HARDER & HARDER TO FIND, IT IS THE CORRECT MAGAZINE FOR THE COLT 1911A1 WW2, THE R IS RIDSON MFG. CO.>>> THE C-R MADE BY RIDSON FOR COLT. THEY WERE ONE OF MANY SUB-CONTRACTORS IN WW2 MAGAZINES WITH JUST THE R ON THE UPPER SIDE OF THE BASE WERE SUPPLIED TO ITICHA, UNION S & S, OTHERS, ETC.>>>>>>>>>>>>DON'T KNOW ON THE L.

I have been told that the correct mags for the older colts were two tone, or were those made directly by Colt? That would then expain why these are not, since they were made by a subcontractor for Colt.

you would find the two tone magazines in the early models 1911's WW1 & into the late 1920's early 1930's.

The C-R mag was made by RISDON.

The L mag was made by M.S. Little; those made for Colt during WWII have an additional stamp of C-L.
