Outstanding accuracy when paired with a good scope. Accurate, long range shooting is what they were designed for.

Check my reply to your first post.

Sendero means "the long path" in spanish. The name says it all! They are heralded as "THE" beanfield gun.

Its a hard rifle to beat. When I purchased mine, I wanted a long range, accurate rifle with punch. I got it in 300 Win Mag and have been happy about that ever since. I was fortunate to find a Redfield police-style sniper scope with exposed adjustment knobs at a very attractive price. At Izaak Walton where I shoot we have a maximum 100 yd range. I can sit at the bench and shoot half dollar sized groups all day and I don't consider myself a great shot. I reload it and shoot generally mild loads for target and just whiz a Nitrex through it now and then for the thrill. Great selection of bullets and a zillion load options. Good Luck, Ed P.S. If one were to fuss with a boat tail bullet and some load experimentation you could do 500 and maybe 1000 yard targets justice.

ed45+p, one of our members told me a while back that he won a 1000 yd match with his sendero 300WM. You are correct!!! I beleive it was Varmint hunter, but I could be mistaken.
