Does anyone know anything about the "PWA" Ar15 copy, and/or it's value?

I have a PWA and have found it most satisfactory. I haven't heard anyone downgrade them. They built receivers for one or two other manufacturers as well as their own. I believe they are MIL-SPEC quality.

They went out of business long before the 1994 assault weapons ban, but there were still quite a number of bare lower receivers in their inventory that were never finished as rifles. These are still being offered today as "post ban" receivers. They are post ban because they were not finished as completed firearms prior to the ban. You can't take a receiver that was built before the ban and turn it into an assault rifle, as that is still considered "manufacturing an assault weapon".

I paid $800 for an A1 version about three years ago. I see them on dealer's tables at shows with asking prices from about $750 to close to $1,000, depending on condition.
