Which scope

I am looking at buying a T/C 209X50 Muzzle loader and going to put a scope on it. Which scope, a Simmons Aetec 2.8X10IR or a Nikon 6X42 Monarch? Or would you go to a Burris Fullfeild II? I would like to stay around the $200. mark. Thanks for the input.

I'm looking to get a new scope for a 44mag rifle what would be a good choice? Price range 100.00 to 150.00

My suggestion would be that, due to the limited distance capability of a muzzleloader, you have some room to spare as far as optics goes. I would personaly go with the simmons illuminated reticle for the simple fact that the majority of shots are taken during low light conditions during hunting seasons. I would say burris if it were a rifle capable of much longer range, but the Aetec is very clear and the illumination often makes the difference between going home empty and a full freezer.

A great rifle with a junk scope,....is junk.

I am personally not fond of Simmons, but have no experience with the Atec or the illuminated reticle. JustC's advice it usually spot on, and probably is in this case. I might save a couple of months and go with a Burris Signature with illuminated reticle.
