I've been thinking to purchase Red Dot sight for My 1911 pistol. I've considered C-more, OKO, Bushnell Holo sight, and aimpoint. Which is a best option? Any suggestions?

I've never tried one on a 1911 but if there is something out there better than a holosight for any application I haven't seen it yet! Amazingly fast target aquisition!! 1MOA dot instead of basketball size behemoth!! Try one you'll like it!! GHD

I have a Bushnell HALO it works great. I looked at the C-More but did not have the opertunity to test drive one.

If you are truly looking to buy the best quality then buy the Aimpoint. The Aimpoint M2 red dots will take all kinds of punishment and still work flawlessly whereas I would not say the same for the others.

The C-More has become the most popular of late, because it is the brightest of them all. Will work great in bright sun against a white target. The Holosight is also an excellent sight. If you are looking to go inexpensive. The ones made by BSA are good. These are in many catalogs at great prices. Tasco has gone out of business, so look for bargains there too.

    Hope this helps.

Someone here refered me to this site www.larrysguns.com Look at the ultradot sights. I bought one for my 41mag blackhawk, and it has held up very well. it comes with rings lens covers and a battery for about a hundred bucks. Also free shipping and a lifetime warranty. I think Im going to put one on my shotgun also.

edgar, if you are planning on shooting bullseye, go with the Aimpoint. If you are going to be shooting one of the action sports, go with either the C-more or the Holosight (I would go to the Holo unless cost is a major concern). Both the C-more and Holosight are much faster to acquire while the Aimpoint has better accuracy - hope this helps.
