I have a S&W 669. The de-cocking lever on the right side of the slide comes loose a lot. Is this commonon these pistols? I've tightened the the screw with an allen wrench. Should I use a small amount of loc tight to assist?

That should do the trick. Be sure and use Locktite Blue#242, and not the red stuff!!!

    Love them Pre-64's!!!!-Bob

Oh BTW... Smith later changed the right lever to a pinned spring lock to eliminate the problem. The lock tite should work just as well, so don't worry. That is one of my favorite compact, high capacity pistols. I have 4 6906's!!!
