I have an Olympic with a heavy SS target barrel and scope. This gun shoots well, but has a crappy trigger. Anyone have any recommendations as to how to fix this? [?][?]

Thanks -Don

on an ar, you want to replace the trigger and hammer. if you have access to a bunch of them, just trial and error to find 2 that work together. or if you want to spend some cash, buy a nice set.

Jake - I don't have access to any other than in the gun. Can you buy a target set & if so where?

brownells.com. jewel triggers are best, you get what you pay for.

You have to decide whether you want a single or double stage trigger.
The Jewel is double stage and JP is single stage. There are others.
I put a JP in mine and am happy with it. It takes a bit of fit and fiddling.

Try this out before spending a lot of money on a new trigger assembly. It will only cost a couple of dollars in spare parts and 15 minutes of your time, or maybe 45 minutes depending on how familiar you are with AR internals. I did and it worked great on my Colts and Bushys'.

Boomer - thanks, I am going to give this a try. Where can you get #7 rubbing compound?
