I was looking at this scope "NC Star Compact Zoom 3-9x42 Scope with Blue Lens" the question I have is, what's the blue lens? Thanks.

Presumably the "blue" is the color of the lens coatings used on the glass to minimize reflection and refraction of light entering and leaving the glass elements of the scope. Likely it is not the highest quality.

We have all been there, believe me. You might be better served going with a better known brand where you have some good probability of service in case of problems. For a decent, but modestly priced scope, Simmons is worth a look. Take a look at some of the Simmons scopes at www.natchezss.com If for a .22 the Mag Rimfire series are really decent, but so are others in the line if you are scoping a centerfire. Good Shooting!
