Winchester 150 assistance

Anybody had the bolt apart on a Winchester .22 cal. Model 150 or 190(same bolt)? I need to replace the firing pin on a 150, and am having trouble getting the bolt apart. Any advice or experience would be appreciated! Dan

    I have never had my 190 bolt apart if I remember right it is held together with with some pins you can see from the top. They may be tapered.
    Getting that snake of a recoil spring back down the hole to put the bolt back is is enough fun for me.

    Giving this somemore thought.
    Are sure you need a new firing pin?
    I thought mine was bad because it was not striking the primer hard enough.
    What found was the barrel was not seated all the way into the receiver. So it was not fully in battery just enough that it would fire a few rounds now and then.
    Pull the bolt back and insure the barrel is seated all the way in the receiver (The top of receiver has a wide groove machined in it) and
    the barrel should be all the back and seated in that groove.
    There is nut you will see with the forearm removed that holds the barrel in the receiver. You can loosen it the tap or whack the end of the barrel to drive the barrel in until it seats. Then retighten the nut

    22WRF,thanks for taking the time to answer. This rifle belongs to a friend of mine who asked me to replace the firing pin for him. I didn't think about the barrel slipping forward, but it very well could have. The old firing pin didn't look that bad to me. I'll check that out tomorrow! Still, if anyone has had one of these bolts apart, I still would like to know the particulars, just in case. Thanks, Dan
