NEED HELP WITH PROOF MARKINGS AND UNDERSTANDING THEM FROM SOMEONE WITH MORE EXPERIENCE THAN MYSELF .I CAN'T FIND MATCHES IN FJESTAD BLUE BOOK ,ANYONE KNOW OF A BETTER SOURCE FOR INFO ON LUGERS? THE GENTLEMAN ALSO HAS A WALTHER PP THAT HAS MILITARY STAMPS AND WOULD LIKE TO GET A VALUE AND ALL THE INFO POSSIBLE ON IT AS WELL .

The two books you need are:

    IMPERIAL LUGERS by Still

THE WALTHER PP AND PPK by Rankin.

These two books are the best in their field for your questions.

What men call a hero...is merely a man who is seen doing what a brave man does as a matter of course.
A man who is in love with learning is a man who is never without a bride, for there is always more. L'Amour

THANKS, GENTLEMAN . I THINK I'VE ENOUGH TO KEEP ME BUSY
A GOOD WHILE . LUGER FORUMS PROOF 2
    # 15. German military receiver proof. Found on DWM Lugers 1914-1918.
IT HAS A STAMP THAT I'M NOR SURE OF BUT IT RESSEMBLES THE BRITISH MILITARY STAMP # 63. British proofs added to imported or captured Lugers.NOT SURE IF A 1918 COULD HAVE THIS STAMP.I HAVE A 7X JEWELERS LOOP WITH LIGHT COMING TO GIVE ME A BETTER LOOK AT PROOFS .

    THANKS AGAIN !!

    THINMAN
