HELP! FEG PJK HP wont feed, me sad

I use my FEG PJK 9HP to compete in I.P.S.C. matches. It functioned flawlessly for around 7 matches using both the factory mags and browning mags that are identical. I used both factory reloads of a standard weight and grain and other brand name rounds as well. I began to have stovepipes, the lips of the casing would snag on the feed ramp, which would cause two rounds to be pushed up in two the chamber and foul the action. Does anyone know where you can send these guns to be serviced and possibly how to fix it if I can do it myself. I am not too unhandy with fixing these things but may just want to have it serviced at a factory repair location. Also if you have diagrams /pictures and instructions of how to remove the magazine safety to improve the trigger pull and allow the mag to drop free when needed.

First, consider just putting in fresh springs.

    http://www.gunsprings.com

Get extra-power mag springs, and a new recoil spring. Maybe the recoil in a variety of powers, to best fit your gun and shooting style.

Next, while you are wating for your springs to arrive, reconsider your stance and grip. Much stove-piping derives from too loose a grip on your pistol.

    Also, how is your extractor?

Since you are shooting for competition, consider polishing your feed ramp.

Nowadays removing the mag safety is a serious liability issue in our law-suit happy society.

I'll gurantee you, your not going to find anything in the instruction manual or the official IPB's regarding it.

I don't know how close a clone the FEG is to the Browning HI-Power? Their's plenty of places on the net you probably can obtain IPB's for the Browning. It's not to hard to figure out, once you have the pistol apart and can compare it to the IPB's.

The B B lists the following two firms as being the importers of the FEG line of pistols.

Here check out this website. www.fnhipower.com There is alot of very useful information there. My son has one of those FEG PJK-9HP's and when he first got it he had nothing, but extraction troubles with it. So he took it to his local gunsmith and he cleaned out the extractor and installed a stronger extractor spring in it and now it works like a dream. He got most of his information off the website above. Hope this helps!
