30 Mauser/7.63 Mauser loading ?

Have a couple Broomhandle Mauser chambered in 7.63, I picked up some surplus ammo at a gun show a while back. Discharges fine, but when I go to reload the shells using a .30 Mauser die set, it appears to expand the mouth of the case to a point where the bullet falls into the case. I am very perplexed here, could I have the wrong expander?

Also, one of the Pistols I belive has a headspace problem as the case is blown out of shape slighly after firing, and running the same shells thru the same die does nothing to reform the case....I have the press set up properly and if it isn't doing nothing its crushing the case.

Everyone I have talked with said the dies I have will work, but it sure isn't looking like it. And everytime I do a search it always crosses 30 Mauser with the 7.63. Maybe I need to get a different die (yeah right) these are just a little hard to come by. Even RCBS sent me an email saying no such luck. I use there presses so Lee is out.

Any ideads appreciated.

What do you mean "Lee is out"? If you can find the proper dies, from virtually ANY manufacturer, they have 7/8"x14 threads per inch and they will work in your RCBS press.

It ain't what you shoot, it's what you hit.

Do a chamber cast of each pistol, and the sizing die. Measure and compare them
    Measure the expander diameter.
    2 die set, or 3?
What happens if you leave the expander out of the process?
