Value of Springfield 1903

I recently aquired a Springfield model 1903 through trade and was curious to it's value. Serial #1162552. On the end of the barrel between the stock and front sight is a symbol of four leaves a-top a circle. It does appear to be rearsenaled(not sure it thats a word[:0]). Also has "Mark I" below the serial number, and "FJA"(in a box) stamped on the stock above the trigger and next to what appears to be Springfields' logo, which is also stamped. On the blot handle is: "B&S", below that is 8620, and below that is a large 8. Any input would be great...
thanks

F.J.Altwood was at the Springfield armory from 1941 until 1944 which means the stock cam from that era. Your rifle was made about 1919-1920. Your "four leaves a-top a circle" is probably the ordnance mark..it should have a barrel date underneath it though. Some of the real Springfield experts should be able to add a lot more. The B&Sn has stumpted me....for a little bit I thought it might be a 1903a3 bolt made by Brown and Sharp but you did say it was a 1903 not a 1903a3... Maybe you just have a 1903a3 bolt in your 1903. I'll let some other guys help you out somemore. Beach

The "M1903 Mark I" was produced by Springfield Armory to accept the Pedersen device, a magazine-fed adaptor that permitted the use of a special pistol round. The 4 digit number on the bolt indicates that the rifle was loaned to a foreign country, probably Greece. I would guess that your rifle would sell in the $300-400 range.

the number under the "ordance" mark is 2-42. There are a few more stampings on the bottom side of the stock, an "s", and in a circle is a large "P" is located behind the trigger. In front of the magazine floorplate is: 17 in a square, 6 in a triangle, 9 in a square, and 4 in a circle. A small "R" is stamped on the barell underneath the handguard. Oh and there is a stamping of "S A" above the ordance mark on the barell. thanks for any help
